The sister of Phawinee, Srikanda, is a stunning woman of whom her father is incredibly pleased. Despite her father's objections, she fell in love with Nopphanai, and they resolved to elope. When Phawinee accidentally encounters Srikanda one day, she remarks on how emaciated and downtrodden she appears. Eventually, she develops a disease and dies.
